Some agents might argue that open houses are a waste of time and they don’t do anything, but I strongly disagree. Not only did I sell my last four listings to people that came to the open house, but why do you think all new agents are told to do open houses when they start out? …because it’s a great chance to get in front of people who want to buy and/or sell a home, so why is it not worth the time as a seasoned agent?
I feel open houses, at least my open houses (advertised right, hosted correctly, followed up on correctly, etc.), do sell houses and you’re crazy not to do one, and do it right away when first on the market, and maybe one every week until the house is sold if possible. Why not get as many people as possible through the door. …that’s the entire goal.
